When in Stockholm
They say, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” But when in Sweden, you must experience the famous Fika. It was my first time in Stockholm, and I loved every second of it—despite the short winter days. However, there’s something undeniably charming about that.
The people, dogs, and food in Stockholm are amazing. One of the key takeaways from my Scandi experience is definitely the art of romanticizing the “normal day.” The big Gothic candles, which you can find in every coffee shop, restaurant, and bakery, were particularly inspiring—I immediately purchased several decorative pieces at the iconic Svenskt Tenn interior shop.
I will share with you a few of my favorite places in Stockholm, and I can assure you, I’ll be back very soon.

I was traveling with my dog, and traveling with a dog is very easy if you prepare in advance and notify the airline about your pet. If you’re interested in learning more, I’d be happy to share the details with you.
Can’t get enough of this view
My dog was very happy to travel with me :) and I was extremely grateful to have him by my side. The clouds were beautiful, and this view never gets old—iykyk! <3
For me, Swiss Airline is one of the best, and the breakfast in the air was absolutely delicious—of course, the cheese is mandatory! :)
Things you do not want to miss in Stockholm
Svenskt Tenn — the most beautiful interior design store! You can find stunning pieces of furniture, small decorations for your home, and everything in between.
Fabrique Bakery — this famous bakery, a.k.a. coffee shop, is one of the most charming places I’ve experienced, with the most delicious cinnamon rolls and the best coffee with vegan milk :)
NK Mall — a shopping mall where you can find everything and anything, from luxury items to Korean skincare goodies. It even has a great selection of Mason Pearson hairbrushes (I got mine there, and so far, I love it!).
Famous meatballs — the perfect restaurant for this is Studerhof, a traditional spot where you can enjoy great fish dishes and, of course, the classic meatballs.
Check in at Hotel Villa Dagmaar — such a beautiful hotel, located right in the heart of the city center and just a 10-minute walk to Gamla Stan (Old Town). To top it off, they even serve gluten-free pizza in the restaurant <3
Visiting Gamla Stan — the Old Town, like in most cities, is truly the soul of Stockholm. Walking through the old houses and walls, you can feel the presence of our ancestors and the weight of history. Let’s not forget that Sweden has a King and Queen, and you can see many fascinating things in the Old Town.
Svenskt Tenn
A stunning and iconic interior design shop where timeless elegance meets creativity. From bold patterns to refined Scandinavian designs, every corner of the shop offers inspiration, making it impossible to leave empty-handed. It’s not just a store—it’s an experience for anyone who appreciates beauty, quality, and style.
Beautiful city of Stockholm :)
In today’s world, every opportunity to travel is a true blessing—reminding us to cherish even the smallest moments along the way.
That is all from me and from my Stockholm experience — if you will need tips and recommendation, your Macaron is always there to share recommendations :)
