Dear Resolutions, We Meet Again

Here we are — a New Year, a new me has just begun. We all know that some of our goals may fade away quickly, but it’s crucial to remember the importance of balance. Maybe I won’t become fluent in all four languages on my list, but perhaps I can focus on one and excel in it. On the other hand, some of you might be incredibly successful in learning two or even more languages at once. I wish we had unlimited time to accomplish and learn everything we desire.

Few hours before 2025

Indulging in a feast of chips—my favourite Zweifel Paprika—while writing down my goals and completing the final pages of my 2024 diary feels like the perfect way to reflect and plan.

How I refresh my start to the New Year

  • My “to-do” list is usually overwhelming. Yet, there’s a unique joy in crossing even one item off that list. It’s a small success, but still a reminder that progress—no matter how small—matters. Sometimes, it’s not about completing everything but about celebrating the little wins along the way. After all, life isn’t meant to be a race to the finish line; it’s about appreciating the journey, one task at a time. And about camera roll, I am the person with more than 100 000 photos.. so there is some work to be done :)

  • My favorite part is setting my goals, thinking about how I could achieve them, and living them. My ultimate go-to for creating a good vision board is definitely Pinterest. Pinterest feels like a daily newspaper, but the difference is that it doesn’t stress me out—instead, it relaxes my mind.

  • I’m a bit of a maniac when it comes to buying books or hunting for that perfect book I’m convinced I’ll devour—only to end up reading just 2–3 books a year. This year, I’m setting a more realistic goal: I want to read five books. Right now, I’m excitedly preparing my list and can’t wait to dive in!

  • I have to admit, I’m a bit of a “hamster.” I love holding onto all those beautiful bottles, convincing myself I might need them later :’) January is the month when I sort through my beauty shelf.

BE CREATIVE

In the process of making my Vision Board

Just to encourage you, even if you don’t have any plans for the coming months — or a year, that's completely normal and there's no need to stress about it. What's even more important is to take time for yourself and indulge in the "now" moment.

xoxo,

Macaron
